Lets start of with the different types of filters and what they can do.
CP
The CP Filter also know as the Circular Polariser helps to reduce glare and increase colour stauration.
When to use: Can be used in all conditions when shutter speed is not an issue.
UV
The UV Filter is used to reduce lens flare and increase light transmission as well as a protective layer for the camera in the case of a crash.
When to use: Anytime
ND4
The ND4 Filter will reduce the camera's shutter speed by 2 f-stops.
When to use: Dusk or Dawn - Cloudy Days
ND4/PL
The ND4 Filter will reduce the camera's shutter speed by 2 f-stops and polarises light.
When to use: Dusk or Dawn - Cloudy Days
ND8
The ND8 Filter reduces the shutter speed by 3 stops which achieves a shutter speed of 1/60th.
When to use: Mildly Sunny Days
ND8/PL
The ND8/PL Filter reduces the cameras shutter speed by 3 f-stops as well as reducing glare and increasing colour saturation from its polarising aspect.
When to use: Partly Cloudy Days
ND16
The ND16 Filter reduces the shutter speed by 4 f-stops and is perfect when you are shooting somewhere bright like the desert or over snow.
When to use: Very Bright Days
ND16/PL
The ND16/PL Filter reduces the shutter speed by 4 f-stops and polarises the visual with saturated colours.
When to use: Bright Sunny Days
ND32
The ND32 Filter reduces the shutter speed by 5 f-stops as well as reducing glare. Perfect to use when the native shutter speed is 1/2000th.
When to use: Bright Sunny Days
ND64
The ND64 Filter reduces the cameras shutter speed by 6 f-stops. It is often used when the native shutter speed is 1/32000th as well as long exposure photography.
When to use: Bright Sunny Days
The great thing about these filters is that they are all specially designed with Polar Pro's Airframe Construction to achieve a feather-light attachment to the aircraft, made with an aluminium frame in order for the gimbal to operate smoothly.
