According to Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson, Amazon is ready to execute their 30 minute delivery drone service, alls they need is the approval by regulators.

So you're sitting at home on a Friday afternoon and your friends are due to arrive within the next hour for a Sing Star night. It is now 6pm and you have only just realised that you 'forgot' to purchase the game while you were at the shops that day. With one hour till your friends arrive, your only option is to have the game delivered within 30 minutes to your door by Amazon - IT'S POSSIBLE!

You're probably wondering how this will work? Well, pending approval by regulators, the Prime Air Delivery service will be able to deliver packages of up to 5 pounds (2.5kg) in 30 minutes or less using a drone. The drone itself will weigh less than 55 pounds (25kg) and will fly below 400 feet (122 metres). It will be able to "sense and avoid" whilst flying in a straight line for up to 10 metres.

"We want to make the deliveries. And we believe that these Prime Air drones will be as normal as seeing a delivery truck driving down the street someday" Paul Misener, Amazon's Vice President for Global Public Policy.
